Marc Sullivan, CFA

Bio

Marc Sullivan is a Managing Director at Phoenix IB®. Marc is a financial leader with more than 25 years of experience managing and advising clients on complex transactions and situations. His breadth of experience within investment banking spans mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, refinancing, balance sheet restructurings, expansion/growth financings, and divestitures.

Marc deploys a hands-on approach, creatively delivering successful results to companies across a broad spectrum of sizes and sectors. His investment banking and advisory experience includes advising publicly traded, closely held, private, sponsored and family-owned entities. In addition, Marc’s comprehensive global presence, combined with his transactional leadership and wide range of industry experience, makes him instrumental in the origination and execution of both domestic and cross border transactions. Over the course of his career, Marc has advised companies in North America, South America, Europe, and Africa.

Life Before Phoenix

Prior to joining Phoenix IB, Mr. Sullivan worked in a variety of entrepreneurial and leadership roles. He was the founder and CEO of Sullivan & Associates LLC/EFM Restructuring Advisors providing services in turnaround and restructuring advice and interim management. He served as Chief Restructuring Officer, interim CEO, and Chief Financial Officer to companies within the printing, advertising, and construction industries. In addition, Marc was an Advisor to the Board of Directors of a phosphates mining company.

Education & Affiliations

Mr. Sullivan obtained his B.A. in Finance from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA and earned his M.B.A. from the Harvard School of Business with concentrations in Finance and Management. In addition, he holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation from the CFA Institute. Marc is a Board Governance Fellow of the National Association of Corporate Directors and serves on the board of the Atlanta Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. Marc is registered with FINRA and holds his Series 79 license.
