Steven H. Rosenblum

Bio

Steven Rosenblum is a Managing Director at Phoenix IB®. He brings more than 20 years of special situations transaction experience as a banker and asset manager.

Steven focuses on transactions that involve a distinct complexity such as tight funding or sale deadlines, enhanced leverage requirements, unusual structuring challenges, niche or multi-generational businesses. He develops bespoke strategies for achieving success in each engagement, which primarily include sell-side and buy-side M&A as well as debt and equity private financings. Steven’s clients include institutional asset managers, closely held, and sponsor backed businesses across a wide range of size and stage. He works across multiple industries with a particular focus on consumer products, services and technologies as well as specialty finance.

Steven is an expert problem solver with the ability to rapidly assess a situation, develop a holistic solution and rapidly execute – an approach he leverages to add unique and measurable value in complex transactions and situations for our clients.

Life Before Phoenix

Prior to joining Phoenix IB, Steven was a senior investment banker at Oberon Securities and StormHarbour Partners where he originated and led complex, private M&A and structured credit transactions for clients ranging from lower middle market businesses to Fortune 500 companies in more than 40 countries.  Steven began his career in the fixed income asset management group of Deutsche Bank. Subsequently, he spent 8 years as a senior investment analyst and then portfolio manager at several established hedge funds, all of which focused on special situation investment opportunities, before eventually transitioning into investment banking.

Education & Affiliations

Steven obtained his B.A in International Relations from Boston University and earned his M.B.A. from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University. He is an Adjunct Professor at New York University’s School of Professional Studies. Steven is a registered representative with FINRA and holds his Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses.
